4x4 Fantasy Golf

Team Golf With A Twist

4x4 Fantasy Golf challenges you to manage a team of golfers through 4 rounds of a professional tournament.

The twist is that you must decide which golfer on your roster will play each hole for your team.

Build The Right Team

Pick a team of 4 golfers; choose which holes each golfer will play. Adjust your strategy after each round.

With a roster that includes McIlRoy, Cameron Young, Patrick Cantlay and Matsuyama your hole assignments and scorecard for a round might look like this:

Round 1: 32 Points

Make The Right Calls

Which golfer is doing well on Par 3s and should be assigned to the 11th hole? After Round 3 it is clear that the 14th hole is playing as the most difficult hole, which golfer on your roster is most likely to birdie that hole and gain some points for your team?

The winner of the tournament will be the manager who not only assembles a great roster, but makes the best use of that roster through each round.

How To Play

Gameplay

Before the tournament begins select 4 Golfers from the Field to form your team roster.

Prior to the start of each round assign a golfer to each hole on the tournament scorecard.

Each Golfer on your roster can be assigned to play a max of 6 holes each round.

For example, with a roster that includes Rory McIlroy, Cameron Young, Patrick Cantlay and Matsuyama, you could assign McIlroy to play the 1st, 5th, 7th, 11th, 16th, and 18th holes, and Matsuyama to play the 2nd, 8th, 9th 13th and 15th holes, etc.

As the round progresses, your team is awarded points based on modified Stableford scoring:
StrokesPoints
bogey0
par2
birdie3
eagle4
albatross5
An example scorecard for a round might look like this:

Round 1: 32 Points

In this example, McIlroy shoots par, par, par, birdie and scores 9 points for your team.

Tips

The Golf Gods are capricious to the point of cruelty and it is anyone's guess how a Golfer will perform when the tournament begins.

Initially it may be easier to randomly assign holes. Look for the button on the Hole Assignments screen.

By round 3 or 4 however, you might have pretty good information on how the course is playing and how each golfer is performing on each hole. It makes sense at this point to fine tune your hole assignments to maximize your score...

What Happens if players on my team miss the cut?

If some (hopefully just one!) of the golfers on your team misses the cut you should re-assign their holes to another golfer. You can re-assign golfers manually or use the button on the Hole Assignments screen.
